LEG (Make 2)

Rounds 1-2: Using Color B, repeat Rounds 1-2 of Head. At the end of Round 2, there are 16 sc.

Round 3: Sc in next st, inc in next st, sc in each of next 4 sts, inc in each of next 4 sts, sc in each of next 4 sts. inc in next st, sc in last st. (22 sc)

Rounds 4-6: (3 Rounds) Sc in each st around. (22 sc) Round 7: Sc in each of next 7 sts. [sc-dec] 4 times, sc in each of next 7 sts. (18 sc)

Note: / prefer to work the Shoe Detail at this point, before continuing with the Leg.

Last Row: Flatten the last round and working through both thicknesses, sc in each of next 4 sc. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Shoe Detail

Working in the FLO of Round 14, attach Color C to first st (image 2). [ch 2, sl st in next st] 13 times. Fasten off. leaving a long tail for embroidery.

» Using long tail, embroider small lines across front of Shoe (images 3, 4 & 5). Weave in ends.

»Position the completed Legs on either side at Round 7 of the Body. Using long tails and yarn needle, sew them in place (image 6).

DRESS

Round 1: With Legs facing upwards, working in FLO of Round 18 of Body, using larger hook, attach Color A to last st (image 7), ch 1, sc in each st around (image 8); join with sl st to first sc. (25 sc) Join all sc-rounds in this manner.

Round 2: Working in BLO, ch 2. dc in each st around; join with sl st to first dc. (25 dc) Join all dc-rounds in this manner.

Round 3: Ch 1. [sc in each of next 4 st, inc in next st] 5 times; join. (30 sc)

Round 4: Ch 2. dc in each st around; join. (30 dc) Round 5: Ch 1, sc in each st around; join. (30 sc) Round 6: Ch 2. dc in each st around; join. (30 dc) Round 7: Ch 1, [sc in each of next 4 st, inc in next st] 6 times; join. (36 sc)

Round 8: Ch 2, dc in each st around; join. (36 dc) Round 9: Ch 1, sc in each st around: join. (36 sc) Round 10: Ch 2, [hdc in next st, bob in next st, hdc in next st] 12 times; join with sl st to first hdc.

COLLAR

Row 1: With Legs facing upwards, working in FLO of Round 1 of Dress, attach Color B to st at center front (image 10), ch 1, sc in first st, hdc in next st, dc in each of next 21 st, hdc in next st, sc in last st. (25 sts)

Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in first st, hdc in next st, dc in each of next 2 sts. [2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 3 sts] 4 times, 2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 2 sts, hdc in next st, sc in last st, change to Color C. (30 sts) Row 3: (Ruffle) Turn, [ch 4, sl st in next st] 30 times. Fasten off and weave in ends (image 11).

FLOWER

Using Old Rose, ch 27, starting in the third ch from hook. [3 dc in next ch, sc in next ch] 5 times; change to Powder Pink, [3 dc in each of next 2 ch, sc in next ch] 5 times. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Roll the Flower into shape, and using tail, sew to secure. (images 12-13)

ASSEMBLY (use photos as guide)

Nose – Using Old Rose and yarn needle, embroider a Nose between the Eyes (image 14).

Hat – Position the Hat on Head and sew in place (image 15).

Ears Using long tail and yarn needle, fold the last round. of Ear in half, and sew edges together (image 16). Repeat for other ear. Position Ears on Head at Round 7 of Hat and sew in place (images 17 & 18).

Flower-Position and sew the Flower on Hat (image 19).

Arms – Position the Arms on either side of the Body. about Round 3 of Dress. Using long tails and yarn needle. sew them in place, working through the Dress into the Body, to secure them (image 20).

Beads-Sew the Beads to the front of Dress (image 21).

Head – Sew the Head to Body

Face – Using a small makeup brush, apply blusher to the cheeks and the inside of Ears.
