SKIRT

We will now make the skirt section of the dress. To create the pattern on the skirt, we will alternate rnds 2 – 12 with ‘Lilac’
and ‘Pink’ yarn, starting with ‘Lilac’. The skirt is worked in joined rnds. Do not F/O any colour until the skirt section is
complete.
Holding your work upside down and using ‘Lilac’, pull up a loop in the last FLO of rnd 35 of the body and ch 1 (Pic. 4 & 5).
Secure the starting tail.
Starting in the same st you attached the yarn
Rnd 1: [2 sc, inc] x 12, sl st into the 1st sc of the rnd (48) (Pic. 6)
Rnd 2: ch 3, dc in same st. [ch 1, skip the next st, 2 dc in the next st] x 23, sl st into the 3rd ch from the beginning of the rnd

Rnd 17 – 40 (24 rnds): 12 sc (12)

The closing of the leg is vertical to the
ankle joint. To ensure you start in the
correct position, adjust the number
of scs accordingly (I made 4 extra sc).

HEADBAND

The headband is made up of 2 parts (band and bow). Both parts are worked on both sides of a foundation ch. To ensure the
headband is a suitable fit, try it on the head as you work and adjust accordingly.

PART 1 – BAND

Use ‘Patina’ yarn, or a colour of your own choice, ch 55 and starting in the 2nd ch from the hook
Row 1: 53 sc, 3 sc in the last st. Working on the other side of the ch, 53 sc, 2 sc in the last st. (111)
Make an invisible stitch to finish. F/O and leave a long tail. Weave in the starting tail.
Using the tail end, connect both ends to create the head band (Pic. 25). Do not cut the tail, we will use it to connect the 2
parts together.

PART 2 – BOW

Use ‘Patina’ yarn, or a colour of your own choice, ch 15 and starting in the 2nd ch from the hook
Row 1: sc, hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc, 2 sc, hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc, 3 sc in the last st. Working on the other side of the ch, hdc, dc, tr, dc,
hdc, 2 sc, hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc, sc inc in the last st. (30)
Make an invisible stitch to finish and weave in the tails (Pic. 26).

Place the bow over the join on the
head band. Using the tail end from the
band, firmly wrap it around the bow
and band several times. Secure the tail
on the inside of the band. You can use
the tail to secure the band to the
head, or weave it in.

FACIAL DETAILS

Mark out the position of the eyes over
rnds 17 to 19 with pins, 7 sts apart.
Mark out each point as shown in Pic.30

Each eye is 4 sts wide. Remove
the pins as you work.
With a length of black embroidery
thread, make the first line from the
inside of the eye to the bottom
centre.

For the 2nd line, go from the outer
edge back into the bottom centre.
For the 3rd line, bring out the thread 1
st in from the 2nd line on the outer
side.
Bring it back in at the bottom centre.

Repeat on the other side of the face.
Secure and weave in the tail.
Mark out the nose with pins between
rnds 18/19, 3 sts wide.
With a length of brown yarn, make the
nose with a few whip stitches. Make the
middle line over 2 rnds, central to the
nose (Pic. 37). Secure and weave in the
tail.

ASSEMBLY

Mark out the position of the arms
between rnds 31/32 on each side of
the body.
The arms are positioned 11 sts apart
front and back.
Attach both arms. Secure and weave in
the tails.

Using the arms as guide, mark out the
position of the legs between rnds 47/48
equally on each side of the body.
Attach both legs. Check to ensure you
have attached them in the correct
position.
Secure and weave in the tails.

Mark out the position of the ears
between rnds 8/9, 9 sts apart at the
back of the head.
Attach each ear. The ears should fall
downwards once attached. Secure and
weave in the tails.
Place the head band on your bunny.
You can add some blush to her cheeks
to complete her look.
