head

Starting with brown colour,
R1: 8 sc in mr (8)
R2: 8 inc (16)
R3: (1 sc, 1 inc) x8 (24)
R4: (1 sc, 1 inc, 1 sc) x8 (32)
R5: (3 sc, 1 inc) x8 (40)
R6: (2 sc, 1 inc, 2 sc) x8 (48)
R7-13: 48 sc (48) 7 rounds
R14: (5 sc, 1 inc) x8 (56)
R15: 56 sc (56)
R16: (5 sc, 1 dec) x8 (48)
R17: (2 sc, 1 dec, 2 sc) x8 (40)
R18: (3 sc, 1 dec) x8 (32)
R19: (1 sc, 1 dec, 1 sc) x8 (24)
Sl st into the next st, then fasten off and weave in the ends.
Stuff the head fully.

ears

Start with brown, continue with [light pink].
Make 2 ears.
*sts in bold and in brackets will be in light pink.
R1: 8 sc in mr (8)
R2: 8 inc (16)
R3: (3 sc, 1 inc) x4 (20)
R4: 2 sc, [4 sc], 14 sc (20)
R5-8: 1 sc, [6 sc], 13 sc (20) 4 rounds
R9: 1 sc, [6 sc], 1 sc, 1 dec, 8 sc, 1 dec (18)
R10-12: 1 sc, [6 sc], 11 sc (18) 3 rounds
R13: 1 sc, [2 sc, 1 dec, 2 sc], 6 sc, 1 dec, 3 sc (16)
R14-16: 1 sc, [5 sc], 10 sc (16) 3 rounds
R17: 1 sc, [5 sc], 1 dec, 6 sc, 1 dec (14)
Hold the ends of the ear together, then sc the seven pairs of sts closed. This makes it
easier to sew the ears on later. OR just sl st into the next st after R7. Fasten off and
leave a long tail for sewing

legs + body

Start with brown. Rounds 1-6 form the legs, so make a total of two legs.
R1: 8 sc in mr (8)
R2: 8 inc (16)
R3-6: 16 sc (16) 4 rounds
Fasten off the first leg only. Leave a long tail to sew any gap closed between its legs
later. Make 2 ch after finishing with the second leg. Do not fasten off the second leg,
as we will continue with the body from here.
Stuff the legs, then stuff the body as you go.
Connect to the first leg by inserting your hook into the first st of R6 to start crocheting
R7. Each side of the ch you made at the second leg now counts as one st (see indicated
arrow below).
R7: 36 sc (36)
R8: (5 sc, 1 inc) x6 (42)
R9-13: 42 sc (42) 5 rounds
R14: (5 sc, 1 dec) x6 (36)
R15: 36 sc (36)
R16: (2 sc, 1 dec, 2 sc) x6 (30)
R17-18: 30 sc (30) 2 rounds
R19: (3 sc, 1 dec) x6 (24)
Sl st into the next st, fasten off
and leave a long tail for sewing.
Stuff the body fully.

Insert your hook into the sides of the
ch, as indicated by the arrows.

arms

In brown, make 2 arms.
R1: 5 sc in mr (5)
R2: 5 inc (10)
R3-7: 10 sc (10) 5 rounds
Sl st into the next st, fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Stuff the arms lightly

tail

In brown,
R1: 6 sc in mr (6)
R2: 6 inc (12)
R3-4: 12 sc (12) 2 rounds
Sl st into the next st, fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Stuff the tail fully.

assembly

Sew the head and body together.

• Hold the ends of the arms flat, then sew them on the last round of the body.

• Sew the ears between R6 and R7 of the head. This is optional but if the ears do

not stay down, you can sew the back down (see indicated arrows in the picture

below).

• Sew the tail between R10 and R14 at the back of the body.

• Use pink felt to cut out a small oval for its nose, OR

• Use pink yarn to sew its nose between the eyes, about 3 sts apart.

Your bunny is now complete! Now let’s give it a flower hat ~

sunflower

The flower comes in three parts: center, stem/leaves, and petals.
For the center, start with dark brown.
R1: 8 sc in mr (8)
R2: 8 inc (16)
R3: (1 sc, 1 inc) x8 (24)
Sl st into the next st and fasten off. Save this part for later.
For the stem, start with green.
R1: 4 sc in mr (4)
R2-6: 4 sc (4) 5 rounds
R7: 4 inc (8)
R8: (1 sc, 1 inc) x4 (12)
R9: (1 sc, 1 inc) x6 (18)
R10: (1 sc, 1 inc, 1 sc) x6 (24)

In the next round, we will be working all the sts in the FLO to make the leaves.
I recommend inserting a stitch marker in the back loop of the first st, as we will be
working with the back loops later.
R11: [Ch 1, in FLO,
YO, insert hook into the next st, then pull up a loop. You will have 3 loops on
your hook (see Figure A).
YO again, insert hook into the same st, then pull up a loop. You will have a total
of 5 loops now (see Figure B).
YO, then pull the yarn through all 5 loops (see Figure C).
Ch 2, sl st into the back of the first ch (see arrow as indicated in Figure D). This
makes a small point of the leaf as shown in Figure E.
Ch 1, sl st into the next st. One leaf is now done!] x12
*repeat the steps within the brackets to make 12 leaves.
Fasten off and leave a long tail for the flower hat end. Use another strand of green yarn
to tie the other hat end onto the stem/leaves. There should be 6 leaves between the
2 hat ends

For the petals, we will be crocheting them together with the center and stem. In yellow
yarn, make a slip knot first.
Insert your hook into one st of the center, along with one st (back loop) of the stem.
Then, place the slip knot on your hook (see Figure G). Pull through the loop from the
slip knot (see Figure H).

Continuing the petals as the next round of the stem (remember to work the petals in
both the center of the flower and back loops of the stem),
R12: [Ch 3, YO twice, insert hook into the next st, and pull up a loop.
(YO and pull through 2 loops) x2. You will now have 2 loops on your hook as
shown in Figure I. Essentially, this creates an incomplete tr.
In the same st, make another incomplete tr and you will end up with 3 loops on
your hook as shown in Figure J.
YO, then pull through all 3 loops (see Figure K).
Ch 3, then sl st into the back of the first ch (see arrow as indicated in Figure L).
This makes a pointy part of the sunflower petal (see Figure M).
Ch 4, sl st into the next st. One petal is now complete!] x12
*repeat the steps within the brackets to make 12 petals.

Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Place the flower hat on your bunny then secure by tying the hat ends.
