Today, the new daily crochet patternAmigurumi Gnome Pisces Free Crochet Pattern, I want to give you some information about this pattern;
MATERIALS
Crochet Hook – Size 2.0mm
• Turquoise, Orange, White, Peach DK Acrylic Yarn
(300m./100g.)
• Baby Sparkle Blue and White DK Acrylic Yarn
(165m./50g.)
• 2-3mm Black Bead.
• Tapestry Needle / Normal Needle
• Black Thread
• Stitch Marker
• Toy stuffing
• Glue
Crochet Abbreviations:
ch – chain
st – stitch
sc – single crochet
dec – decrease (sc2tog)
inc – increase (2 sc in 1 st)
double inc (or 3 sc in 1 st)- double
increasing
sc3tog – double decrease
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
tc – triple crochet
sl st – slip stitch

Note: With different type of yarn the item will be smaller or
larger and you’ll need smaller or bigger crochet hook than
stated in the pattern.
Pisces Gnome.
I crochet the Gnome in continuous spiral rounds with hook 2mm. with
Turquoise, Peach, Orange, White DK Acrylic Yarn (300m in 100g.) and
Baby Sparkle White and Blue DK Acrylic Yarn (165m/50g). Also I used
Black Anchor 8 Thread and black pin.
The Yarn in this pattern are just a suggestion. You can use your
favourite colours and Yarn. That’s why I am usually don’t indicate man[1]ufacturers. Please be aware not to mix different manufacturers. It is im[1]portant to compare the strength and length of the used Yarn. Using
Yarn from a few manufacturers for one figure can lead to wrong propor[1]tions.
Please refer to the pictures I made everything very detailed. Some pic[1]tures can be with different colour of the yarn or from my another
projects for better explanation.
– Use a stitch marker to mark the end or if you prefer the beginning of
each round.
– Make invisible decreases when using two front loops of st. for it.
– Work all the project using both loops of the stitch unless otherwise noted.
– Some pictures may be presented with different colour of the Yarn or can be from my other
Projects.

In R.24 we will crochet the arms directly on to the toy.
R 24. place your hook first through the 1st st. of the arm and then through the body and continue
crochet it with arm and body same time 4sc., 13 sc., and repeat the same for another arm and at[1]tached the 2nd arm with 4sc. through arm and body same time (refer to pictures), 9 sc. (30)

Now add some plastic pellets ( rice/small stones/glass pebbles) to add more weight to the toy. The
hat is quite heavy. Stuff the body, keep the bottom of the body very flat.

With a few stitches sew arms to the body
Now we will make three dress edges/sea waves . Keep the gnome body upside down. We will use
FLO of round 10, 11 and 12 (R10. with Turquoise Yarn, R11. with Light Blue Sparkle
Yarn and with White Sparkle Yarn and R12. FLO.)
For R10. FLO : attach Turquoise Yarn to any of st. on R10. and crochet not too
tight *(1 sc., 1 hdc. together in one st., 1 dc. in next st., and 1 hdc., 1 sc. together in
next one st. , and sl. st. in next st.)* repeat from * to* till end of the round. Cut yarn
and hide the end.
For R11. and R12. FLO : attach to any st. of R11. Light Blue Yarn and White Yarn to
R12. and crochet the same as you crocheted with Turquoise Yarn in FLO of R10. :

in next st.)* repeat from * to* till end of the round. Cut yarn and hide the ends.

Nose.

Cut Yarn and finish open edge of the hat invisibly as explained in “Tips and Techniques”
Now attach Baby Blue Sparkle Yarn to any of FLO of last Turquoise round (R29) and crochet
the edge as you crocheted it for the body :

Clownfish
Orange Yarn highlighted in orange and White Yarn in black.

again crochet another fin: 1 sc. in FLO, ch2. and in base of chain crochet fin (2 hdc., ch3., and 1 sl.

R 7. 14 sc. ( it will be 3 sc., 1 sc. in back loop behind the fin, 6 sc, and again 1 sc. in back loop behind

Now fold it in half and crochet with White Yarn through both sides of the fish same time 3 sc., cut
yarn and hide the end.
Attach Orange Yarn and crochet the tail:
ch3., now in base of the chaine crochet in one st. 2 hdc, and again in next one stitch 3 hdc., and in
last st. 2 hdc., ch3 and sl. st in base of the tail, fasten off, cut yarn and hide the end.
Fin on top of the fish.
Attach Orange Yarn on top of the fish as shown on the pic. and crochet:
ch2., now in one stitch 2 hdc, and again in one stitch 3 hdc., and in last st. 2 hdc., ch3 and sl. st in
base of the tail, fasten off, cut yarn and hide the ends.
Small fin.
Attach Orange Yarn on bottom of the fish as shown on the pic. and crochet:
ch2., now in one stitch 2 sc, ch2 and sl. st in base of st., fasten off, cut yarn and hide the ends.
You can leave the fish as it is or can embroider black lines with black thread/fine yarn on fish body
(pic.), then glue on/sew on the eye if you use bead, or embroider the eye, with white yarn embroider
around the eye, and finally embroider the smile. I decorated one side of the fish only. For the eyes I
used black head of pin and cut “bead” off with the pliers and glue it on the fish.
Assembly.
Please ref. to the pictures.

— make the ponytails
Cut 14-16 strips of White Yarn each approx. 18-20cm. in length, make a knot in a middle, separate
each strip on strands, brush it with metal pet brush. After you brushed strands you can use steam
iron or hair straightener to make the yarn straight. Attach it above the nose, make ponytails and trim
it where needed.
—sew on arms to the body and the fish to both arm
Make some finishing touches, add accessories if needed and your Virgo Gnome is ready.
