top of the black.
Eyes
The eyes are made from red and white felt. Use your scissors to cut out the shapes seen in the
picture below. Trim them to fit the face.
Body Spots
can either be felted on from teal felt, or they can be crocheted and sewn on. Below
are some reference pictures of crocheted spots and spot placement on the body.
Toes
Cut out six tiny triangle shapes from the white felt.
Tip: Looking at reference photos of Bulbasaur can be very helpful to help determine the best size
and spot placement on the
nebody. Its also very helpful in getting the eye shapes to look correct.
Before we begin assembly we must give Bulbasaur’s bulb its ridges. To do this we are going to
use a long piece of yarn and weave it through the bulb to divide it into six sections. You will need
your yarn needle to do this.

1.Take a long piece of spring green yarn and weave it
through the side of the bulb from the bottom to the
top.
2.Pull the yarn tight, it will pull in the the side of the
bulb. Repeat five more times.

when finished.
ASSEMBLY
Use the provided pictures of the finished Bulbasaur as a visual aid to help guide you in the assembly
process. | recommend using pins to help plan where you want to sew parts to the body.
1.Sew the open end body to the bottom
of the head.
Sew the ears to the head.
- Sew the hips onto the sides of the
body. Note that the sides of the hips with the
6 consecutive dec’s will face towards the
front of the body
Sew the back feet to the front of the hips.
Sew the front feet to the body.,
Sew the bulb onto the back.
Take your stem wire and push it
through the base of the bulb and out the
other side. Then bend both ends of the wire
to round them off.
Pull the vines over the wire and sew
them to the body, just under the bulb.
Before attaching the Pokeball to the vines
apply the body spots and the eyes. Use
black embroidery floss to make the nostrils.
